I grew up in Nebraska and moved to Arizona in 1986. Phoenix has been my home for more than 30 years. I have an amazing wife, Denise Mattern, of 25 years and together we have three children, Kendra, Zach and Mackenzie. My family is my top priority in life and what motivates me to be a better man, father and human being . They are my “why” that drives me each and every day.
I have been blessed personally and professionally and have a strong personal commitment to volunteer/ charity work. I focus much of my free time volunteering for several charities and am currently President of Kiwanis of Chandler and Exchange Club of Tempe and am the immediate past President of Sundevil Family Charities.
I received a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, majoring in Purchasing Logistics Management from the College of Business. After spending 20 successful years in the corporate world I decided to take a true leap of faith and change my career to become a Mortgage Loan Officer. Since joining the Mortgage business, I have had the pleasure of helping many individuals and families attain the dream of homeownership. This decision has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Most people look at 10 homes, at a minimum, so they can compare them. However, you may find the dream house with more or fewer searches.

Other ways to search for homes include asking friends, relatives, neighbors and homebuilders for help. A small percentage of homebuyers used newspaper advertisements and yard or open house signs to search for homes.
Although a pre-approval is not one of the required steps to buying a house, it can certainly help you stand out in a competitive market with many buyers. A pre-approval can show sellers that you’re serious and capable of getting a mortgage, so they may be more likely to accept your offer.
