I have dedicated the past 25 years of my career to helping prospective buyers achieve the dream of homeownership. Over this time I have had the opportunity to see and experience many changes in the mortgage lending business as a loan officer, manager, company owner, and once again a loan officer/mortgage planner. With these varied changes, being the best has required the ability to stay on top of regulations and product modifications in order to be able to educate and guide my borrowers through this very important process. There are a lot of choices when deciding upon what mortgage company or which loan officer to use. The importance of this type of financial transaction requires you to have high expectations with your loan officer and the mortgage company that stands behind them…I will exceed those expectations. I believe a mortgage should be about building relationships and helping customers achieve their home financing goals…not just a transaction. Integrity is the cornerstone of my business and my mission is to get you the right loan.
I am a proud graduate of the University of Maryland (GO TERPS!) and have resided in Westminster, MD for 19 years with my wife and three sons. When I am not helping buyers with the right mortgage I can usually be found on a football field, lacrosse field, or next to a wrestling mat watching the boys compete. I also enjoy snowboarding, the occasional round of golf, and always look forward to spending time in Ocean City every summer with my family.
Thank you for considering me for your mortgage needs and I look forward to hearing from you!

Frequently Asked Questions
The total number of properties you may look at will depend on several factors, such as your budget and the housing availability in your area. In general, real estate agents recommend that homebuyers look at several properties before making a decision, but there is not an exact number. Most people look at 10 homes, at a minimum, so they can compare them. However, you may find the dream house with more or fewer searches.
When it comes to the best home buying tips, there are different ways to search for properties. Statistics from the National Association of REALTORS® reveal that 51 percent of buyers searched and found their homes on the internet, while 30 percent used real estate agents. Other ways to search for homes include asking friends, relatives, neighbors and homebuilders for help. A small percentage of homebuyers used newspaper advertisements and yard or open house signs to search for homes.
Although a pre-approval is not one of the required steps to buying a house, it can certainly help you stand out in a competitive market with many buyers. A pre-approval can show sellers that you’re serious and capable of getting a mortgage, so they may be more likely to accept your offer.
