Thank you for visiting my webpage. My name is Sheri Perry and I am an experienced mortgage specialist with Finance of America Mortgage. I am licensed in Arizona, Texas, and Oregon and originate a variety of residential mortgages including- Conventional, FHA, VA, Down Payment Assistance Programs, USDA, Investment Homes, Second Homes, and Reverse Mortgages. Getting Pre-qualified is the first step in the process. Whether you prefer to complete the process entirely on-line, come to the office, or have me meet you at your convenience, I’ve got you covered.

Having personally bought five homes prior to entering the mortgage industry, I truly understand the borrower’s perspective, whether you are a first time homebuyer or an experienced buyer. I work closely with you, your realtor, and the title company to ensure your home purchase goes smoothly, closes on time, and that you receive outstanding communication throughout the entire process. My primary focus is to exceed your expectations!

I love to work with Veterans and have successfully closed hundreds of VA Loans on their behalf and truly appreciate their service.  I work with First Time Homebuyers and I take care to explain the mortgage process thoroughly in a non-intimidating manner without a lot of industry jargon.  I do my best to make the process stress free and I don’t mind answering tons of questions.

I enjoy helping First Responders and Teachers obtain financing to buy their dream homes.  I take the time to help you understand ALL of your options based on your personal financial situation and goals. I listen attentively to your questions throughout the entire process, from originations through closing and beyond.

My family relocated to Arizona 15 years ago from my home state of Rhode Island. I share my life with my husband, who is my high school sweetheart, our two children and our two dogs. I hold a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Master’s in Teaching and prior to joining the mortgage industry five years ago, I was a teacher for ten years. My passion has always been to help others achieve their goals.

How many properties should I look at?

The total number of properties you may look at will depend on several factors, such as your budget and the housing availability in your area. What is the best way to search for homes?

Other ways to search for homes include asking friends, relatives, neighbors and homebuilders for help. A small percentage of homebuyers used newspaper advertisements and yard or open house signs to search for homes.

Should I get pre-approval before making an offer?

Although a pre-approval is not one of the required steps to buying a house, it can certainly help you stand out in a competitive market with many buyers. A pre-approval can show sellers that you’re serious and capable of getting a mortgage, so they may be more likely to accept your offer.
