Steve Reich

Chief Operations Officer

Steve Reich is COO, managing the day-to-day business activities of Finance of America Mortgage. Steve works with senior leadership to carry out the organization’s priorities and develop the strategic business plans for FAM’s numerous divisions. 

As a results-oriented mortgage professional with more than two decades of experience, Steve has in-depth knowledge in mortgage processing, underwriting, closing, and selling major loan programs. He has a track record of successfully penetrating new markets and establishing genuine rapport with clients and employees alike. Steve was senior vice president of production and branch support as well as director of wholesale and corresponding lending with Gateway Funding, which was acquired by FAM in 2015. Steve was promoted to COO in 2018.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Delaware. He’s a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Greater Philadelphia and has held several leadership positions with the organization, including president, vice president, treasurer, and board member. He’s also a board member of the Pride of Quakertown, a nonprofit that provides extracurricular activities for children in the Philadelphia metro area. 

Mike Farr

President - Retail

Mike Farr is President of Retail at Finance of America Mortgage, responsible for leading and managing the company’s retail production nationwide.

Mike has been in the mortgage industry since 1996. He joined FAM through its acquisition of Pinnacle in 2015. He has served in multiple roles throughout his tenure with the company, including as a loan originator, branch manager, area manager, regional vice president, and director. Mike was promoted to his current role in June 2021.

Mike is a passionate leader who believes in the people on his team and their ability to get things done and execute ambitious goals. He believes that a winning organization understands that customer service starts with employees -- by creating a world-class culture and by valuing people above all else. As a leader, Mike inspires everyone around him to achieve more than they thought possible. At his core, he is a visionary who believes in the entrepreneurial spirit and challenges the status quo to find better ways to serve his employees, customers, and business partners.

Marti Tromley

Chief Lending Operations Officer

Marti Tromley is Chief Lending Operations Officer, overseeing all operations/underwriting – from application through post-closing and investor sales – across all of FAM’s channels and businesses. She joined FAM in 2018 with more than 35 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Marti has a comprehensive background in mortgage lending, including managing sales, operations, compliance, and risk at companies such as North American Mortgage, Washington Mutual, and Skyline Financial. Graduating from Humboldt State University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a teaching credential, Marti found herself in the mortgage business and quickly found her passion.

Marti hasn’t seen a process that she doesn’t want to improve. She is driven to invent new solutions to improve efficiency and exceed customer expectations. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, her two children, and three grandchildren.

Jim Anderson

Chief Marketing Officer

Jim Anderson is CMO at Finance of America Mortgage where he leads the company’s marketing initiatives and vision. Jim joined FAM in August 2020 with more than 20 years of experience in marketing leadership roles at mortgage lenders and media companies.

Jim understands the power of building an industry-leading marketing team that produces winning results. As a marketing executive at Stearns Lending, Jim successfully led a digital marketing transformation to drive revenue growth and extend the reach of Stearns’ retail and wholesale channels, as well as its joint ventures and preferred partners. At Certainty Home Loans, he launched a new company website and increased page views by 70%. He also introduced an enterprise CRM resulting in $106.4 million in funded loans in the first 12 months of its implementation.

Jim holds a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor’s degree from Seton Hall University. Jim lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children. In 2021, he was recognized as one of HousingWire’s Marketing Leaders.

Michael Lord

Senior Vice President, Group Financial Officer

Michael is SVP and Group Financial Officer and is responsible for all operational accounting for Finance of America Mortgage, Finance of America Reverse, and Finance of America Commercial. In addition to handling all operational accounting, Michael also leads the enterprise accounts payable and payroll groups.

Michael began his career mostly in the manufacturing industry before joining Arlington Capital Mortgage in 2006. Arlington Capital was acquired by Gateway Funding in 2008. FAM later acquired Gateway Funding in 2015.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Tracy, and two children, Abigail and Zachary.
